Immigration Fraud Warning

Scams and Impersonations Targeting Katie Laughlin & Canstart Immigration.

Please be aware that fraudulent accounts and individuals are currently impersonating Katie Laughlin and CanStart Immigration across email, WhatsApp, and social media to scam vulnerable clients looking for Canadian immigration support.

Before sharing personal information or sending funds, always verify that you are communicating directly with us through our official channels:

3 Quick Ways to Spot a Fake Message:

  1. Watch for Poor Grammar & Spelling: Legitimate immigration communications are professionally written. Be cautious if messages contain broken English, awkward phrasing, or frequent spelling errors.

  2. Check the Sender's Handle or Domain: Scammers often use subtle variations, misspellings, or free email addresses (like Gmail or Yahoo) instead of our official @canstartimmigration.ca domain.

  3. Beware of Unofficial Payment Demands: We will never ask you to wire funds to personal bank accounts or process payments over WhatsApp or direct messages.

If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from Katie Laughlin or CanStart Immigration, do not respond. Please report it immediately to info@canstartimmigration.ca.
